Launched in 2017, the CFE Certification is currently implemented in sixteen countries across Europe, with a total of over 1,950 employers already certified as Cycle-Friendly, collectively representing well over 1,3 million employees.
The annual CFE Call for Applications is an invitation for applications from organisations based in non-represented countries that commit to
- implement the CFE Certification Framework at national level;
- issue the CFE certification to cycle-friendly employers;
- build a cycle-friendly employer culture at national level;
- be part of the pan-European CFE Consortium.
The CFE Consortium admits applications from the following countries:
Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Iceland, Kosovo, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Slovakia, Malta, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland.
HOW TO APPLY
- Read the CFE Consortium Call for Applications 2025 and download the application form
- Get in touch with any questions and / or to signal your interest in applying for CFE Consortium Membership to implement the certification in your country.
- Submit your completed application form via email.
- Upon positive evaluation and acceptance of your application, you will be invited to sign an accession statement to the CFE Long Term Management Agreement and pay the first annual contribution to the common pot.
